Member institutions can add their entity IDs using the librarian tools on our web site. Our help desk can assist with the process. Here are the steps:

  • Log on to the site as an institution administrator
  • Click on the Your Profile button at the top
  • Click on Librarian Administration Site in the center of the page (or access that page with http://pubs.acs.org/action/institutionAdmin)
  • Click on the Access Rights button in the middle of the page
  • Ensure that the correct institution is selected in the drop-down labeled View Account
  • Provide the IdP Entity ID in the box labeled Identity Provider URL
  • Leave the box labeled Organization/Unit ID blank
  • Click on the Submit button

The IdP Entity ID provided needs to match an entry in the federations metadata file.

Refworks

The new platform refworks.proquest.com is covered under entityID=https://www.refworks.com/shibboleth/sp. To be added to the drop down list of institutions the local RefWorks admin just needs to contact us at refworks.support@proquest.com to get the process started. How long it takes will depend on whether the institution was using Shibboleth for RefWorks access on the legacy platform or not.

Per autenticarsi con Shibboleth tramite IDEM, è necessario che l'Identity Provider rilasci l'attributo obbligatorio eduPersonScopedAffiliation secondo le specifiche riportate nel documento Specifiche tecniche per la compilazione e l'uso degli Attributi fornito da IDEM.

Esempio: Personale CINECA: eduPersonScopedAffiliation: staff@cineca.it

Oltre al rilascio del suddetto attributo, l'ente di appartenenza dell'utente deve essere sottoscrittore di Bibliosan Per il supporto relativo all'accesso federato scrivere a servicedesk@cineca.it

Nonostante IDEM non sia ancora esplicitamente listata tra le federazioni ci risultano abilitate alcuni idp italiani.

Per adesso effettuare una ricerca mirata con "Search for an institution" compilando il campo di ricerca con alcuni caratteri del nome dell'ente.

Siamo in trattativa per ottenere l'inserimento di IDEM tra le federazioni del menu di login.

Qualora interessati ad attivare il SSO verso questo editore scrivere a idem-help@garr.it

E' un caso speciale non ancora disponibile via eduGAIN, lo sarà presto: 

We are currently planning to set up the platform on which the database is located with EduGain Interfederation access. 
This would then also enable members of the IDEM federation to access the database via SSO (since IDEM is a member of EduGain). 
The plan is to set this up within the first half of 2017. 

However, I would be grateful if you could provide us with contact details of the institution that has contacted you for SSO access, 
so that we can then test their access via the EduGain interfederation once it has been set up.
